East Singhbhum wins 24th Jharkhand State Taekwondo Competition

Jamshedpur, Jan 19: The 24th Jharkhand State Taekwondo Competition, organized by East Singhbhum under the aegis of Jharkhand Taekwondo Association, concluded today at Rajasthan Bhawan Mango. The event, held on January 18 and 19, 2025, saw East Singhbhum emerge as the winner in the Kyorugi category, while Ranchi secured the runner-up position.

In the Poomsae category, West Singhbhum claimed the top spot. The closing ceremony was graced by Amarpreet Singh Kale (State Spokesperson, BJP) and Neeraj Singh, State President of the Business Cell, as chief guests. They awarded medals and trophies to the winning and runner-up teams, motivating the players with their encouragement.

Attendees included South Point School Director Shiv Prakash Sharma, Jharkhand Taekwondo Association Vice President Gopal Kumar, East Singhbhum Taekwondo Association President Manohar Singh, and several other officials and coaches.

The event was officiated by Chief and Referee Rohit Singh, along with a dedicated team including Amar Bauri, Mahendra, Subhash, Soham, Shweta, and others.

This competition marks a significant achievement for East Singhbhum and highlights the growing prominence of Taekwondo in Jharkhand.
