East Singhbhum to plant one lakh saplings in one hour today

Jamshedpur, July 17: One lakh saplings will be planted in East Singhbhum district in one hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with collective participation on Monday, July 18.

For the scheduled programme, Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Vinod Kumar and District Public Relation Officer (DPRO) acting on the direction of DC Amit Kumar, on Sunday visited the Ghorabandha Theme Park and took stock of the preparations for the plantation drive.

Present on the occasion Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Saba Alam Ansari and ACF Sushil Oraon informed the administration officials about the preparations made till date.

Significantly, during the the one-hour campaign 25,000 saplings will be planted in Ghorabandha Theme Park area and 5000 saplings each at 15 different selected sites.

At the drive several government departments, public sector units (PSUs) and private sectors will participate on Monday.

Dc has appealed all to take this campaign as a mass movement and support the cause as much as they can and make it a huge success.
