Jamshedpur, June 17: Athletes from the district proved their mettle once again at the 10th Jharkhand State Senior Athletics Championship in Palamu bagging one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
East Singhbhum Athlete Amit Banerjee won gold in 20 km walking event, Nitin Kumar Sharma won bronze in long jump and silver in triple jump event.
In women�s event Kumari Devyani won bronze in 100 meters running event. The team was headed by Nitin Kumar while Shyam Kumar Sharma was the team manager for the championship.
