Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Training Center represented the East Singbhum District in the 19th Jharkhand State & Inter District Table Tennis Championship at Hazaribagh from October 10-14, 2019.
This the first time in history that the East Singbhum District won the Men�s Team event defeating Ranchi 3-2 in final under the captainship of Dinesh Rakshit.
As regards the Boys team Championship, East Singbhum won gold while the Women�s team got the silver medal. Over all, the Training Center members won 8 Gold, 5 Silver and 12 Bronze medals.
With regard to individual performances, Archita Dey won three gold medals while Mrinmoy Pradhan and Chandni Kumari won one gold each. Pravesh Narang and Dinesh Rakshit, both from Tata Steel, won the Gold medal in their respective categories.
The team Coach was Apurba Dasgupta while the Manager/Captain was Dinesh Rakshit. Tata Steel Sports department congratulates the winners.
