Durga Puja concludes peacefully in Jamshedpur, DC thanks citizens

Jamshedpur: Durga Puja celebrations in East Singhbhum district concluded on a note of peace and harmony, with the immersion of idols taking place smoothly across various ghats.

The district witnessed four days of vibrant festivities followed by a seamless immersion process, thanks to detailed administrative preparations and wholehearted community cooperation.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi expressed gratitude to all stakeholders including the district administration, police forces, puja committees, the Central Peace Committee, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), appointed magistrates, volunteers, and citizens for their collective role in ensuring a safe and joyous festival.

The DC noted that the success of such a large-scale festival was possible only because of mutual cooperation, discipline, and harmony demonstrated by every section of society.

He highlighted the crucial contribution of puja committees, who adhered to administrative guidelines, helped manage crowds, assisted in immersion arrangements, and supported traffic regulation.

Acknowledging the efforts of security agencies, Satyarthi praised the NDRF and CAPF personnel for strengthening arrangements at river ghats and key intersections, while commending the district police for their vigilance and efficiency in maintaining law and order.

“The peaceful and harmonious conclusion of Durga Puja reflects the collective spirit of our district,” the Deputy Commissioner said. “The discipline, unity, and coordination displayed by all stakeholders is a true hallmark of our culture.”
