Jamshedpur, Sept 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at DSM School for Excellence, Kasidih. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Chairman Dilip Singh, Director Saugandh Singh, Saubhagya Singh, and Principal Geeta Nair.
Addressing the gathering, Director Saugandh Singh highlighted the importance of the day, noting that it marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India and an eminent teacher. He said the occasion is dedicated to recognizing the hard work, sacrifice, and selfless service of teachers. He also expressed gratitude for their unwavering support.
The celebration included fun activities for teachers such as a Memory Game, won by Monalisa Ghosh, and a Golgappa Competition, won by Sujata Sharma. All teachers were felicitated with gifts by Chairman Dilip Singh.
The program was conducted by Indu Gopinath and Pranay Dey, and concluded with a community lunch hosted by Director Saugandh Singh.
