DBMS College of Education Marks Teachers’ Day with enthusiasm

A true teacher prepares students for challenges: Sripriya Dharmarajan

Jamshedpur, Sept 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at D.B.M.S. College of Education. The program began with the garlanding of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s portrait.

College Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, in her address, said that a true teacher is not one who forces facts upon students, but one who prepares them to face life’s challenges. Vice Principal Dr. Monica Uppal highlighted the contribution of Dr. Radhakrishnan, noting that he was fondly remembered as “Desh Ratna” and believed that only the best minds should take up teaching.

The cultural program featured songs, music, and other performances by students. All teachers were felicitated with bouquets and gifts in recognition of their contribution. The event was conducted by Ayush Kumar and Tanushree, while students Eliza Samad and Neha Rani played key roles in organizing the program.

Present on the occasion were College Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan, Treasurer Vivek Dharmarajan, Administrative Secretary Satish Singh, Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita, faculty members, and staff. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by students Ishika Kumari and Neelu Kumari.

The celebration reflected respect and gratitude towards teachers, making the day memorable for everyone.
