Ranchi, April 18: In a major administrative reshuffle at Jharkhand’s largest government hospital, Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Dr. Shashibala Singh has been appointed as the new Interim in-charge Director. The Health Department issued an official notification confirming her appointment.
This development followed the sudden removal of Dr. Rajkumar from the post of RIMS Director late last night. According to sources, several serious allegations were made against Dr. Rajkumar, prompting the government’s immediate action.
Reacting to the situation, State Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari stated that the government would not tolerate negligence or irregularities in a crucial institution like RIMS. He emphasized that strict action would be taken against any officer or employee found neglecting their duties.
