Jamshedpur, August 3: India International Friendship society each year honours prestigious Bharat Samman award to distinguished personalities who have rendered contributions in various fields of science, literature, sports etc.
This year the honour was bagged by Dr. Shankar Bhattacharjee. Dr. Bhattacharjee has been a patron in the field of literature.
He has penned down many poetries, novels and short stories. He is well versed in both English and Bengali language. His recent published Bengali poetry �August Yatra� has brought many acclamations.
The award ceremony was held in New Delhi and Dr. Bhisma Narayan Singh, former minister & governor handed over the award.
Previously Dr.Bhattacharjee has also been honored with �Giri Vision memorial award�, �Nikhil Banga Sahitya memorial award� and �D.P.Sengupta memorial award�.
