Jamshedpur: In a major administrative move, Kolhan University has appointed Dr. Sanjay Kumar as the Dean of its Medical Faculty. According to an official notification issued by the university, the appointment takes effect immediately and will remain in force until further notice.
A Dual Leadership Role
Dr. Kumar is a well-known figure in the regional medical community. This new responsibility comes alongside his recent appointment by the Jharkhand Government’s Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Department as the Principal of MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur.
Dr. Kumar also serves as the Head of the ENT Department at MGM Medical College Hospital. He will now balance his administrative duties at the college with his new role as Dean, overseeing the university’s broader medical academic framework.
Vice-Chancellor’s Vision
Kolhan University Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Anjila Gupta, welcomed the appointment, citing Dr. Kumar’s extensive experience as a key asset for the institution.
“We are confident that Dr. Kumar’s leadership will strengthen both the medical education standards and the administrative functions of the university,” Dr. Gupta stated.
She further added that his guidance is expected to provide fresh momentum to the medical faculty, ultimately enhancing the university’s academic and healthcare research capabilities.
