Jamshedpur, September 16: Dr. Payodhi Dhar, MBBS (Hons.), MD (PHA), ACMDC, CCTD, PGDC (Cardio), PGDED (ANDO), FPCC (Cardio)) from Kolkata, has taken significant steps towards improving the primary healthcare system in Jharkhand. In a press conference held on Monday, Dr. Dhar announced his decision to provide affordable healthcare services to the people of the state.

Dr. Dhar, whose healthcare services were already operational in several other states, aimed to prevent Jharkhand residents from having to travel to major cities for better medical treatment. His vision included bringing advanced healthcare, primary healthcare facilities, and diagnostic labs to Jharkhand’s 32,620 villages, benefitting not just patients but their families and the wider community.

He also shared that discussions were underway with the government to implement these services, which were expected to improve healthcare quality, create both direct and indirect employment opportunities, and boost the local economy.

In response to a question, Dr. Dhar condemned the recent incident involving a junior doctor in Kolkata and praised the doctors’ protest for justice, noting its remarkable impact beyond Kolkata and across West Bengal.

With a lifelong commitment to human welfare, Dr. Dhar expressed his dedication to making Jharkhand an integral part of his healthcare mission.
