Dr JJ Irani condoles Kamakshya Banerjee�s death

�His determination gave us Tagore Academy, Book Fair�

Jamshedpur:  Some people do not die, they cross over to eternity. Such a person was Kamakshya Banerjee who passed away on Monday. His body was brought to Rabindra Bhawan so that his innumerable admirers could pay their last respect to a humble personality of great achievements. Among the mourners was the former MD of Tata Steel, Dr JJ Irani who looked visibly moved. In his eulogy to Banerjee, Kamakshyada to many, Dr Irani observed, �Kamakshya Banerjee was a determined person throughout his life. It was his endeavor that gifted us The Tagore Academy School and the annual Jamshedpur Book Fair.�

Sharing his experience Dr Irani said that the late Banerjee would rather wait but ultimately have his way. While offering his floral tribute, Tagore Society general secretary Asish Chowdhury recalled, �The demise of Kamakshya Banerjee is a loss of a guardian. When I remember my association with Kamakshyada, I can feel his guidance that continues to enable me to steer the Tagore Society organization.�

Others who offered their floral tributes included Tagore Society president Dr HS Paul, vice president Shantanu Sarkar, Dr Gautam Dasgupta, the faculty and staff of Tagore School of Arts, teachers and staff of Tagore Academy, executives and members of Tagore Society and staff members of Steel City press in which too Kamakshya Banerjee paid a pivotal role.
