Dr. Ehtesham Waqarib Assumes Charge as East Singhbhum SSP

Jamshedpur: Senior IPS officer Dr. Ehtesham Waqarib formally assumed charge as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum on Wednesday late night.

Dr. Waqarib took over the office at the East Singhbhum district police headquarters, marking the beginning of his tenure as the district’s top police officer. Senior police officials and personnel welcomed him upon his arrival.

Following the assumption of charge, Dr. Waqarib reviewed preliminary administrative matters and interacted with officers at the headquarters. He is expected to focus on strengthening law and order, enhancing public safety, ensuring effective policing, and improving coordination among various police units across the district.

His appointment comes as part of the Jharkhand government’s recent administrative reshuffle involving senior police officers.

Police officials expressed confidence that under Dr. Waqarib’s leadership, the district police would continue to work towards maintaining peace, curbing crime, and delivering efficient public service.
