Jamshedpur, Dec. 6: Youth Congress on Tuesday observed the death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Father of Indian Constitution at Shaheed Chowk in Sakchi.
Members of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Yuva Congress committee headed by its vice-president Rakesh Sahu floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar.
Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Sahu said, Dr. BR Ambedkar was true patriot and a messiah of the poor.
However, for the Dalit and the socially backward citizens of our country — many crores of them — this day marks the loss of their ‘Father’, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.
From 1956 to 2016, a long period of 60 years has passed since we lost him, however, ‘the greatest Indian’, as he could be called, can never be forgotten by the Dalit community of this country.
At the event a two minute silence was also observed for J. Jayalalithaa, chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
On the occasion Akhilesh Mishra, Kamlesh Sao, Devashish Ghosh, Chandan Sao, Arun barik, Shrawan Sao, Laxman Yadav and others were present.
