Jamshedpur: Congress candidate Dr. Ajoy Kumar inspected the Moharda Water Supply Project on Sunday after receiving complaints about broken pipelines disrupting water supply in several areas.
Residents had reported that three pipelines connected to the Moharda pump had been damaged, causing a halt in water distribution. Responding promptly, Dr. Kumar visited the site, reviewed the situation, and held discussions with JUSCO officials. He urged them to expedite the repairs to restore water supply for the affected residents.
The officials assured Dr. Kumar that one pipeline would be repaired by Sunday evening, while the remaining two would be fixed by Monday.
Dr. Kumar also addressed residents’ concerns, stating, “If anyone is facing severe water issues, they can contact me, and I will arrange for water tankers.” He highlighted the need for significant improvements in the Moharda Water Supply Project, emphasizing that ensuring clean drinking water in settlements would be a top priority if the INDIA alliance government comes to power.
“We will develop a comprehensive plan to ensure timely access to clean drinking water for all residents,” he added.
