Jamshedpur, Aug 8: Former MP of Jamshedpur and Congress Working Committee’s permanent invited member Dr Ajoy Kumar Monday assailed the Centre and the UP government on the issue of alleged sale of land falling in the area of Ayodhya Development Authority.
In a press statement issued today, he said, “Ayodhya Development Authority has issued a list of 40 people who have illegally sold land and carried out construction in its area. The names of Ayodhya Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyaya and BJP MLA Ved Prakash Gupta are also included in the list. But both the Central and UP governments have kept mum on the issue.”
Kumar accused the BJP of using the communal card to influence its voters. He alleged that many party leaders had benefitted from land deals which were ridden with many discrepancies.
Kumar demanded an SIT probe into the land deals in order to find their connection with BJP leaders and land mafias.
