Jamshedpur: Former MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajoy Kumar condemned the incident of rape of a five year-old girl in DVC Mandal Colony at Manifit under Telco PS and demanded stringent police action against the accused.
He expressed dismay over the alleged negligence shown to the victim by the district administration. He said the administration did not make adequate arrangements for the treatment of the minor victim.
In a letter to the senior SP Anoop T Mathew, Kumar said FIR should be lodged against the culprit and action be taken against the police officials showing slackness in investigation.
He said it was unfortunate that criminal activities were on rampantly in the home town of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
