Jamshedpur: The fatal stabbing of Himanshu Singh following a violent altercation outside Double Down Pub & Bar in Bistupur has left his family devastated and intensified public concern over law and order in the city. His 80-year-old grandfather, a retired Tata Steel employee, struggled to hold back tears while recalling the final moments before his grandson left home.

According to the family, Himanshu was at home waiting for dinner on the night of the incident. His mother was about to serve the meal when his friend, Pratyush Singh, arrived and requested him to accompany him outside.

The family said Himanshu was initially reluctant to go out, but eventually agreed after repeated persuasion from his friend.

Recalling the sequence of events, family members said they later received a phone call informing them that Himanshu had been assaulted. The shocking news plunged the family into despair, and despite medical efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Locals described the change in travel plans as a cruel twist of fate that ultimately led to the tragic sequence of events.
