Jadugora: The Doodh river of Potka situated near Balijuri under Sohda panchayat has dried up completely in the summer season.
As a result, the people of nearby villages are finding it difficult to get drinking water to meet their daily needs. Sources said everyday a large number of people from Chandanpur, Dhaguriyan, Kalikapur, Dhirole, Bango and Roldih visit the riverbank for various purposes every day.
The residents said the district administration should take initiatives to solve their water woes by installing more hand pumps and digging ponds in their villages.
