Jamshedpur, May 25: Prof. Sanjeev Varshney, Professor of Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur spoke on career choices for Happy living. He was of the opinion that students should not make choices after looking at what others or their peers are doing. It is important for them to understand their life goals and careers which will make them utilize their full potential. In order to get best they will have to acquire skills for these careers in life. He further said that for any goal, more than the goal the process to achieve that goal is important. If journey is good output is also pleasant.

He said that nowadays lots of choices are available for students and they should plan and execute meticulously. They should create their mind-maps and then plan accordingly. This will help them work towards goals which they really like. However, he also gave a word of caution to kids that many of them come from families where their parents have established business after lot of effort. So while choosing their career they should also keep this business option as a career choice in mind and should work towards acquiring professional skills for running this business more effectively and efficiently. Many a times it has been seen that kids start running after some fancy career choices which often do not have strong fundamentals attached to them. So a career choice should be passionate, meticulous, planned and well executed. He wished all the Best to all for their future career and life.
