Don�t harp on problems, focus on target: Jamshedpur DC

Jamshedpur: Bank of India today organized a seminar on �Support and Outreach� at the SNTI auditorium today to explain the methods of the 59 minute loan disbursement scheme to entrepreneurs related to MSME units.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar who was the chief guest on the occasion, observed in his address that the Prime Minister had introduced the scheme to provide a new pep to the growth of MSMEs among 100 selected clusters on November 2.

�Initially, the �59 Minute Loan Scheme� looked very rosy in the district but later on, the process moved at a snail�s pace. After 25 days of its launch, only 234 loans have been sanctioned which is much below expectation,� he said.

Kumar stated that Jamshedpur held out bountiful prospects for industries and industrialists here were aware of these possibilities. He averred, �If we keep harping on problems, we will never be able to attain the target. Every bank management has to give utmost priority to the �Support and Outreach� project and act collectively to make the purpose attainable.

This project should not remain a day dream. A commitment towards the project and its purpose is needed to make it fructify.�

The DC said that maximum publicity and cooperation was required as also better performance in this area of the �59 Minute Loan Project.� He directed all banks to give this project the highest priority.

Deputy General Manager of Bank of India, Rajesh Kumar, detailed the features of the 59 Minute PSB loan. Senior Manager of the bank, Saurabh Kumar dwelt on the social security and various other government projects.

Bank of India�s Regional Manager, Sukanto Mohanty welcomed the guests and later, offered the vote of thanks.
