Four arrested in Sonari shootout case, gang rivalry suspected

Jamshedpur: Police arrested four youths on the basis of suspicion for their alleged involvement in Sonari shootout incident on Monday last.

The suspects, three of whom were identified as Shankar, Gangesh and Babu, allegedly planned and carried out the shootout in which one Rakesh Dubey of Sonari was critically injured.

Dubey was shot at by motorcycle-borne assailants from close range near Nurse Quarters in Sonari. He is a garment trader. He is under treatment at Tata Main Hospital.

He sustained a bullet injury in his jaw. He was attacked near CP Club when he was on his way home. When the shooters opened fire, Dubey ducked. The bullet passed through his nose and got stuck in his jaw.

According to Khushboo Dubey, wife of Rakesh Dubey, her husband was busy evicting his shop in Gudri market for renting it out to someone. After the day�s work, Dubey was returning home when he was attacked, she said.
