Jamshedpur: The Mass Communication Department of Karim City College in association with Tata Steel Rural Development Services (TSRDS) screened the documentary film �Sohrai� by filmmaker Ratnabali Ghosh. Mass Communication department head Neha Tiwary chaired the event.
The program, anchored by Sayyad Sajid Pervez, comprised TSRDS officials Kumar Gaurav and Suraj and Mass Com students.
�Sohrai� (Dipawali) dwells on this traditional festival of Santhalis. It captures many known and unknown facets of this Santhali tradition. The filmmaker has dwelled in detail in this documentary film.
After the screening of the documentary film, an interactive session saw filmmaker Ratnabali answering the queries of the Mass Com department students. She gave vital tips to the eager students on the processes of making films. She also stated the hurdles she had to encounter during the making of �Sohrai.�
