Seraikela : Amidst spread of coronavirus a case of negligence has been reported at Sadar Hospital . A 49-year-old Keetan Soren, the Seraikela Block Program Officer of the Education Department, reached Sadar Hospital with his children and wife for treatment in crisis, was prevented from entering the hospital by a doctor on duty. In a hurry, Keetan died on the way. After returning to his residence at Gaurangadih, the body of the deceased Keetan was taken to his ancestral village Chaitanpur for cremation. The officials and members of the Jharkhand Education Project Council workers union along with the teachers, para teachers and other employees of the department also reached for his last journey. Expressing anger over the matter, the Sangh also demanded necessary action.
Keetan could have been saved: – In connection with the incident, the family is being informed that around 11 o’clock on Sunday night, Keetan suddenly started getting sick with complaints of breathing problems. After which he was brought to Sadar Hospital by family members at around 12 midnight. At the door of Sadar Hospital, he kept on praying to Dr. BK Prasad on duty to save me again and again on the problem of breathing difficulty. But he was neither admitted nor referred for treatment in any other hospital. The doctor was asked to move to another place, saying that there is no bed and oxygen from far away. It is being said that the family members have been killed in a hurry in order to take them to the TMH Hospital in Jamshedpur.
On coming to the notice of the case, Civil Surgeon Dr. Himanshu Bhushan Barwar has issued a show cause to the doctor on duty. In case of not getting satisfactory answer, he has said that legal action should be taken.
