Corona concern: 419 recoveries, 151 infected, 3 deaths in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sept. 14:�Coronavirus case has shown a downward trend in the last couple of days in Jamshedpur. 270 positives were reported on September 12, 115 cases came up on September 13 while 151 cases have been reported on Monday, September 14. Positive tally has climbed to 10380 while the death toll climbed to 269 with 3 deaths on Monday.

419 people recovered of the virus on Monday taking the total recovery to 7699 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 2412. The district administration spokesperson informed that 151 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Monday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 53515 test per million. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum stands at 2.6 % while recovery rate is 75.3%.

With a total of 1,263 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Monday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 62,737. During the day 3 deaths were also reported from East Singhbhum district after which the overall death count has gone upto 561 in the state. The increase in fatalities has increased the mortality rate to 0.89 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 14,064 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 48,112. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 561. On Monday a maximum number of 263 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 151 in East Singhbhum, 107 from Giridih, 106 from Deoghar, and 99 from Ramgarh districts (top five districts). A total of 1,529 number of people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid19 facilities during the day including 419 from East Singhbhum followed by 332 in Ranchi, 111 in Giridih, 89 in Bokaro and 69 in Gumla districts.

Seraikela reported 33 new cases on Monday while 42 positives have come up in West Singhbhum. 

The first case of the pandemic was reported from Hindpiri on March 31, when a 22-year-old Malaysian woman, who had been to Delhi�s Tablighi Jamaat congregation, tested positive. She has since been discharged after being recorded from the dreaded disease.

The Jharkhand government has extended the coronavirus pandemic-triggered lockdown in containment zone in the state till September 30. However, all the economic activities in the state are allowed outside containment zones.

The hotels, dharmshala, lodge and guest houses reopened after around 6 months following SOPs and guidelines of the government. Restaurants and shopping malls also resumed after a long time.
