Seraikela, Feb 8: A doctor, identified as Rashmi, and her driver were seriously injured in a car-truck collision on Seraikela-Chaibasa main road on Saturday. They were taken to Tata Main Hospital.
Sources said Dr Rashmi, a resident of Adityapur posted at Sadar Hospital, Chaibasa, was on her way to Chaibasa in her car. Near Kudarsai, the car rammed into a speeding truck coming from opposite direction. The car was badly damaged in the incident. Dr Rashmi sustained severe injuries in her face and head. Her driver Dipankar Das was stuck between his seat and steering wheel. He was somehow taken out of the car.
