Jamshedpur, July 21: District level Subroto Cup football tournament will begin in Tinplate Sports Complex on Friday, July 22. The tournament to be held under the joint aegis of Jharkhand Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry and East Singhbhum district administration the tournament will continue till July 24.
Under-14, U-17 Boys and U-17 Girls teams from 11 blocks of the district will be participating.
On the opening day U-14 boys matches will be played while on day 2 U-17 boys matches will be held.
U-17 girls will take the field on the concluding day of the tournament.
In addition to all the league matches, final of each category will be played.
Winning teams in each category will represent East Singhbhum district in the division level Subroto Cup football competition.
Division level Subroto Cup football competition will be hosted by East Singhbhum district from 1 to 4 August at Tinplate Sports Complex.
It may be noted that Avinesh Kumar Tripathi is the new district sports officer (DSO).
