Jamshedpur: A delegation of auto rickshaw drivers of the city met Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar on Wednesday and demanded cooperation from the district administration regarding issuance of driving licence and permits for three-wheelers.
The DC assured the delegation members of every possible help in getting the necessary documents issued by the transport department. He said the administration was ready to help the auto-rickshaw drives in every possible manner, provided they are ready to comply with road safety norms. He said the administration will continue its drive against overloading and violation of other safety laws.
The DC said all auto-rickshaws and school vans should have driver�s name, mobile number and driving licence number mentioned clearly. School auto-rickshaws and vans should carry coloured strips so as to be distinguished easily, he said.
