Dist admn directed to identify illegal land settlements

Jamshedpur, June 16: Jharkhand special secretary land and revenue department, Dharmendra Pandey on Thursday directed the East Singhbhum district�administration to identify all illegal land settlements for which land receipts were issued and cancel them at the earliest.

During a meeting, Pandey gave instructions to the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal at district collectorate.

East Singhbhum ADC Sunil Kumar informed that the districts have to identify and cancel such illegal land settlements at the earliest.

He also gave directives to arrange for payment to original land holders (raiyatdar) before�July 15.

�We have been asked to ensure that all original land holders whose land has been acquired for different purpose by government and other agencies will have to be paid compensation by�July 15,� said Singh.

Moreover decisions have been taken to ensure online mutations of all lands which will be held through camps during three day camps for the convenience of land holders.

Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner also reviewed law and order in city in view of scheduled visit of Union communication and information technology minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on�June 17 and 18 in city.

�We are taking steps increase vigil. We have finalized deputation of magistrates at each locations of the program of the Union minister.

The senior superintendent of police Anoop T. Mathew has been directed for deployment of forces both at the airport and at various locations to be visited by the Union minister during his two day stay in city,� said Kaushal.
