Ranchi, Oct 19: Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport is set to launch direct flights to Goa and Jaipur, offering great news for travellers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the new flight services, which are expected to commence by October 30. While the exact schedule and fare details are yet to be announced, passengers will be notified in advance.

An official from Ranchi Airport confirmed that DGCA has given the green light for these flights as part of the winter schedule. Additionally, another direct flight to Bengaluru will also begin on the same date. The airport is currently awaiting the final timetable and fare structure.

The demand for direct flights to these cities has been ongoing for some time. A proposal was submitted earlier, and DGCA’s approval has now been secured. Notably, Ranchi had previously offered a direct flight to Goa, but the service was discontinued due to low passenger numbers. With renewed demand, the flights to both Jaipur and Goa are set to begin again.

Once the schedule is released, travellers can look forward to a seamless connection to these popular destinations, meeting the long-standing demand for better air connectivity from Ranchi.
