Ranchi, Feb 6: A direct flight service from Ranchi to Prayagraj will commence on February 15 to accommodate the large influx of passengers attending the Maha Kumbh Mela. This special service, operated by Indigo Airlines, will run until February 28, with flights scheduled three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flight from Prayagraj will depart at 10:20 am, arriving in Ranchi at 11:30 am. The return flight from Ranchi to Prayagraj will leave at 12:00 pm and arrive at 1:10 pm.
Booking for this limited-period service is now open. If the demand for these flights remains high during the Maha Kumbh period, the continuation of the service will be evaluated. Currently, passengers traveling from Ranchi to Prayagraj have to rely on connecting flights via major cities like Kolkata, Delhi and Lucknow. On average, around 300 passengers travel to Prayagraj daily.
