Ranchi, Feb 6: Dr. Natwa Hansda has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), paving the way for upcoming board examinations in the state. The government issued a notification on February 6, 2025, confirming his appointment for a three-year term, effective from the date he assumes office. Dr. Hansda, a retired in-charge principal of Government Women’s Polytechnic Ranchi, will oversee the organization of board examinations for students in grades 8 to 12. The notification, issued by Joint Secretary Moinuddin Khan on behalf of the Jharkhand Governor, specifies that he will receive the salary and allowances as per the provisions in the Jharkhand Academic Council (Amendment) Act, 2006.
