Rashida tops Science, Chhoti Kumari leads Arts as JAC Class 12 results declared

Ranchi, May 6: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Wednesday announced the results of the Intermediate (Class 12) examinations for all three streams—Arts, Science, and Commerce—bringing relief and happiness to lakhs of students across the state. This year, the overall performance remained impressive, with high pass percentages recorded in all streams.

According to official data, the Arts stream recorded a pass percentage of 96.14%, the highest among all streams. Commerce followed with 93.37%, while Science registered 82.92%. The council released results for all three streams simultaneously, ending the long wait for students and parents.

Along with the results, JAC also announced the list of toppers, highlighting exceptional performances by students from different districts. In the Science stream, Rashida Naaz of DAV +2 High School, Patherdih in Dhanbad, emerged as the state topper by securing an outstanding 489 marks out of 500. Her remarkable score has made her a source of inspiration for students across Jharkhand.

Md. Faizan Alam from RK +2 High School, Patan in Palamu, secured the second position in Science with 483 marks. The third position was jointly shared by Akanksha Kumari of SS +2 High School, Simaria in Chatra, and Sana Afreen of +2 Sarbodaya High School, Satbarwa in Palamu, both scoring 481 marks.

Rashida Naaz’s marksheet reflects her consistent performance across subjects. She scored 98 marks in English, 97 in Physics, 99 in Chemistry, and 98 in Mathematics, demonstrating a balanced and disciplined approach to studies. Teachers at her school credited her success to regular practice, dedication, and proper guidance. Her family members expressed happiness and pride over her achievement.

In the Arts stream, Chhoti Kumari from Bokaro secured the top position with 478 marks. Ankit Kumar from Dumka stood second with 474 marks, while Anshu Kumari from Ranchi secured the third rank with 473 marks.

Meanwhile, in the Commerce stream, Shweta Prasad of Yogoda Satsanga Intermediate College, Ranchi, topped the state with 478 marks. Krish Kumar Barnwal from Bal Krishna +2 High School secured the second position with 472 marks. Priyanshi Khatri of St. Xavier’s Girls Intermediate College, Chaibasa, stood third with 471 marks.

Education officials praised the overall performance of students and said the results reflect the hard work of both students and teachers. With strong results across streams, Jharkhand continues to show steady progress in academic achievements at the intermediate level.

Students who have passed the examinations are now preparing for higher education and career opportunities, while those who did not achieve desired results have been advised to make use of improvement options provided by the council.
