Dhalbhum SDO issues prohibitory orders

Jamshedpur, March 12: Dhalbhum sub divisional officer Chandan Kumar has issued prohibitory orders in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The orders were issued under Section 144 of CRPC. As per the orders, there will be ban on organizing processions, sit-ins, demonstrations and road blockades anywhere in the district without prior permission of the authorities concerned. Carrying of arms and ammunitions will also be banned. No one will be allowed to use public address system (PAS) without permission. Publicity or use of party flags or banners within 100 metres of polling booths will not be allowed on the day of voting. Each election candidate will be allowed to take along with him only three vehicles to the office of the Returning Officer.

A host of other instructions have been issued by the administration.
