DGP hears pleas of Naxalite violence victims, promises solution in 2 months

Ranchi: Jharkhand DGP Rajeev Kumar today said the problems of victims of Naxalite violence will be solved within two months.

He said so during �DGP Apke Dwar�, a public hearing programme, organized through video conferencing at the state police headquarters. The victims of Naxalite violence from various districts of the state placed their complaints and demands before the state police chief during the programme through video conferencing.

Addressing the programme, Kumar said the issues related to government job and compensation demanded by the victim families will be resolved within two months. He said the majority of complaints were related to the pending status of applications for job and compensation sent to the state police department by the victim families.

Khunti SP Anish Gupta said there were 126 cases of such victims pending in the district. All cases will be solved within two months, he said.

The DGP also heard cases of Kolhan. The DGI of Kolhan Mohammad Nehal said some of the kin of victims could be given government job. A request to slack rules to provide jobs to such people has been made to the state headquarters, he said.
