DGP assures safety to traders, to intensify night patrolling in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, August 31: Utmost safety will be provided to the traders of Jamshedpur and adjoining Adityapur, said Director General of Police (DGP), Jharkhand, Rajeev Kumar while interacting with the business class of the city at Chamber Bhawan in Bistupur.

DGP Rajeev Kumar along with IG Zonal MS Bhatia, Chaibasa SP NK Singh, Rural SP Shailendra Kr. Sinha, SSP Amol V Homkar, City SP Karthik S. and other police officials were present.

One by one traders kept their problems and suggestion infront of DGP who answered all their queries with full confidence.

Replying to one of the members of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), IPS officer said people should support police as no project can be successful without the help of the citizens. He informed that the cases filed against the traders of Adityapur will be thoroughly investigated, �A delegation of SCCI came to my office in regards to the Adityapur case, which will be looked upon and will provide the maximum help to the traders�, he added.

1981 batch IPS officer responding to Ashok Bhalotia of SCCI said patrolling will be increased in Adityapur but before that we will be holding talks with Kolhan DIG and will take into account the cases of snatching which is on the rise in industrial hub of Jharkhand.

DGP believed that there is shortage of man power, �In 2000 after the formation of the state 22000 policemen were in duty that has increased to 73000 in 2014 but there are still 17000 vacancies vacant�.

Answering Vijay Anand Moonka of SCCI, DGP said we are working on to make online FIR possible and people can avail the facility with much issue.

When Bharat Vasani of SCCI asked about left wing extremists and DGP�s upcoming film on naxals, IPS officer said that Jharkhand Police is tracking all the movements of naxalites and we are working on to stop the income source of these involved in red terror. When supply line or the source is cut they would face several issues related to their guns and others items used for terror. All over the state we are working hard to make this terror come to an end.

Talking about the film, he said the shooting is over and in the next 30-45 days movie will be released, it is on the effect that it has on a person who is involved in this type of crime their end is very horrific, it also makes youth aware not to choose this path.

DGP assured the traders that business class people is the life line of the society and no action will be taken without thorough investigation. He also told DIG Kolhan, Nehal to look into the Binod Gupta Murder case and take strict action against sticker gang which is present in Mango and in Seraikela.

DGP further informed that as common people still hesitate in going to the Police Station we are working in it to make the police officers friendly and will also impart training to them on soft skills.

IPS officer appealed all the traders to install maximum CCTV cameras in their establishment as they help police curb crime.

Earlier SCCI President, Suresh Sonthalia thanked the police officials and specially Rajeev Kumar for starting DGP Aapke Dwar program and lauded the efforts of the DGP in checking the naxal-sponsored violence ever since he took over. He also thanked SSP Homkar on limiting the crime in the city.
