Jamshedpur, May 7: Deyashi Kanjibilya and Gourav Paswan were crowned the champions in U-15 boys and girls singles category of the Inter School Open Badminton Championship.
In the boys U-15 singles final Gourav Paswan defeated Ujjwal Paswan 21-19, 21-19 while in girls U-15 singles Deyashi Kanjibilya beat Pragya Juliyani Bodra 21-11, 21-7 in straight sets.
In U-15 boys doubles Gourav Paswan and Ujjwal Paswan beat Adarsh Raj and Asit by 21-6,21-16. In U-15 girls double Devashi and Pargya defeated Natasha Nupur and Zainath Nasim 21-1,21-1. In U-13 boys singles final Rounak Negi overcame Samarth Mourya in 14-21, 21-19,21-14.
Girls U-13 final saw Pragya Julayani Bodra beat Shalini Mourya 21-14, 21-15. In U-13 boys doubles Harshit Jain and Vaibhav Verma defeated Kavya Sakuja and Om Bedi by 21-17,16-21,21-14.
While in U-13 girls doubles Shalini Mourya and Sushmita Dutta Roy overcame Ashruti Singh and Subhi Snigdha 21-17,21-10. Winners were felicitated by the Principal of DAV School Bistupur Pragya Singh were Prabhakar Rao, Md. Rashid and others were present.
