Devotees mark Bhado Sangrand at Sakchi Gurudwara

Jamshedpur, Aug 17: A large number of devotees offered prayers at Sakchi Gurudwara Sahib on Saturday on the occasion of Bhado month’s Sangrand, as per the Nanakshahi calendar. The congregation prayed for global welfare before Guru Granth Sahib and participated in a special Kirtan Darbar.

The event was organized by the Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Sakchi (GPCS). Devotees bowed with devotion, received blessings, and partook in Guru’s unbroken langar at the conclusion of the program.

During the occasion, two prominent personalities were felicitated—Sardar Parvinder Singh, recently appointed as supervisor of NSUI in Jharkhand, and Jyoti Singh Matharu, Vice President of the Jharkhand Minority Commission. Both were honored for their achievements and contributions.

The Huzuri Ragi group of Sakchi Gurudwara, led by Bhai Narayan Singh, rendered soulful Kirtan, including the shabad “Bhaduy Bharam Bhulaniya Duje Laga Het, Lakh Cigar Badaia Karaj Nahin Ket.” Head Granthi Bhai Amritpal Singh Ji also shared Gurmat thoughts, explaining the significance of Bhado Sangrad and its spiritual essence for the Sangat.

Several dignitaries and committee members played a key role in organizing the event, including GPCS head Sardar Nishan Singh Ji, Satnam Singh Ghuman, Paramjit Singh Kale, Rabindra Singh, Satnam Singh Sidhu, Surjit Singh Chhite, Jasbir Singh, Satpal Singh Raju, Daljit Singh, Jaswinder Singh Randhawa Moni, Harjit Singh Monu, and others. Sikh Stree Satsang Sabha and members of the Sukhmani Sahib Kirtani Jatha also contributed to its success.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Surjit Singh Chhite, who also conducted the stage.
