Jamshedpur, May 27: A Jharkhand Shani Shanti Yagna was organized on Tuesday, May 27, at the Shani Dev Mandir near Dukhu Market on Satyanarayan Mandir Road, Jugsalai, under the stewardship of Mahant Damodar Shani Baba. The event, held on the auspicious occasion of Amavasya, witnessed a large turnout of devotees who participated in religious rituals and cultural celebrations throughout the day.
The Navgrah Puja and Havan began at 7:30 AM and continued till 6 PM. Special citizens took part in the evening Havan from 5 to 6 PM. Prasad distribution started at 11 AM and went on till 5 PM, with more than 4,000 devotees receiving blessings and offerings. The rituals were conducted by a team of 11 priests led by Pandit Ashok Sharma and Gyani Sharma. Devotees were also tied with the Raksha Sutra for protection and blessings.

In the evening, a cultural program began at 7 PM and concluded by 11 PM. The devotional music team, Saroj and Party from Kolkata, captivated the audience with bhajans prompting devotees to dance with devotion. A dramatic performance titled ‘Operation Sindoor’ was also staged, adding to the spiritual fervor of the event.
Distinguished guests included MLA Saryu Roy, former MLA Maneka Sardar, social worker OP Sharma, Sudipto De Rana, Anmol Verma, Arvind Mishra, Shambhu Singh, and Shiv Kumar. Key contributors to the event’s success included Ashok Sharma, Gyani Sharma, Soni Sharma, Ayushi, and Dharmendra.
Prayers at Rajak Mohalla Shani Mandir
At the Rajak Mohalla Shani Mandir behind Jugsalai Girls School, worship commenced at 7 AM and continued throughout the day. Pandit Ramkishore Bhargava conducted the rituals and distributed prasad to the visiting devotees.
The event brought together spiritual fervor, cultural vibrancy, and community participation in an atmosphere of devotion and celebration.
