Development meeting in Baharagoda: Emphasis on housing and welfare schemes

Baharagoda, June 19: A significant meeting focusing on development was conducted at the Block Auditorium in Baharagoda under the guidance of Block Development Officer Rajesh Kumar Sahu. The meeting primarily revolved around reviewing various housing schemes and urging the panchayat secretaries to expedite the completion of pending houses. Additionally, the Ambedkar Awas Yojana and Birsa Awas Yojana were thoroughly examined.

Under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), the schemes currently in operation were assessed, with specific instructions to implement a minimum of five schemes in each village. Furthermore, an assessment of the pension scheme was conducted to ensure its effective implementation. The meeting also scrutinized the schemes administered by the 15th Finance Commission, emphasizing the need for their prompt completion. Block Coordinator, Panchayat Secretaries, and other officials were present at the meeting, actively engaging in discussions and sharing valuable insights. The collaborative efforts of all participants aimed to streamline the execution of development schemes, enhance the welfare of the community, and accelerate progress in Baharagoda
