Development in Potka is only on paper, not in reality: Meera Munda

BJP’s Meera Munda campaigns across Jaduguda villages, criticizes development gaps

Jaduguda, Oct 27: BJP candidate Meera Munda launched a vigorous public relations campaign on Sunday, visiting several villages across Jaduguda under Asanboni Mandal President Haldhar Das’s leadership. Addressing local concerns, Meera criticized the lack of visible development in Potka, alleging that recent improvements are limited to “paper promises” rather than tangible projects. “In the past five years, development exists only in records, with no real impact on the ground,” she asserted, adding, “When the BJP is in power, the region’s progress gains true momentum.”

During her visit, Munda heard complaints from elderly villagers regarding delayed pension payments, with some going seven months without receiving aid. She acknowledged the issue, expressing empathy for their plight. “Old women are struggling without their pension—this is unacceptable,” she stated, promising to address these concerns if elected.

At each stop, Munda paid respect to village deities before interacting with villagers, listening to their grievances, and emphasizing her deep-rooted commitment to Potka. “I’m not a new face here. I’ve worked as a party worker and am fully aware of local issues,” she shared.

Joined by former Potka MLA Maneka Sardar and former Union Minister Arjun Munda, Munda’s campaign covered villages including Bangoda, Bandhdih, Dorkasai Dhatki Deeh, and Bhalukdih. Alongside BJP supporters, local leaders Haldhar Das, Ratan Mahato, Sarita Mandal, and Krishna Mahakud were among those rallying in support of Meera Munda’s vision for Potka’s future development.
