Ranchi, July 27: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Ranchi Polytechnic should be developed as an important centre of skill development so that it is known at national level. He said the institute should be renovated in the first phase and its boundary wall should be constructed immediately. He made the observation at a high level meeting in his office.
The CM said that as many as 444 families are being rehabilitated in the buildings made by JUDCO on one part of the encroached land to the east of the college as per the order of the high court. He said that the 50-60 temporary cottages to the east of the premises should be shifted to the west in two days and the premises should be secured with strong boundary walls. He said the Ranchi DC should take prompt measures in this regard. He directed the Higher Education Secretary to develop the institute as an important centre of skill development.
CS Raj Bala Verma, Additional CS Amit Khare, Secretary to CM Sunil Barnwal, Higher Education Minister Ajay Kumar, Building Construction Secretary K. K. Soan, South Chotanagpur Commissioner D. C. Mishra, Ranchi DC and Ranchi Municipal Corporation CEO were present on this occasion.
Government firm on �zero tolerance policy� on corruption: CM
Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday said that the state government was firm on its zero tolerance policy on corruption. Directing the Chief Secretary, the CM said that the pending cases of corruption should be sorted out within a fixed timeframe and that corrupt officers should be punished without fail. He said that purity at personal and social level should be maintained.
Das said that if people connect their service with the nation, they will realize that all their efforts are made for the sake of the nation and corruption will be stifled automatically.
