Jamshedpur: The Sports Department of Tata Steel began a Lifeguard Training Course at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on December 21. The eight-day course will continue till December 28 and aims to train participants in essential life-saving skills.
A total of 25 participants are taking part in the programme. They include trainees from Jamshedpur, Odisha, Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF), JRD Sports Complex, and a few participants from Kolkata. Experienced instructors from Kolkata are conducting the training sessions.
At the end of the course, Life Saving Certificates will be issued to participants who successfully complete all required skills and practical assessments. Participants who fail to meet the required standards may not be awarded the certificate.
