Jamshedpur, October 13: Tata Steel hosted the 1st Edition of its 6-a-Side Futsal Tournament on October 12, 2025, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, fitness, and teamwork.
The tournament witnessed participation from 10 teams and over 90 players competing in an electrifying display of speed, skill, and strategy. The competition began with two pools of five teams each in a round-robin format, followed by high-intensity knockout rounds that kept spectators engaged till the final whistle.
In a thrilling finale, Deo Juvante FC emerged as Champions, defeating Incomplete FC, who finished as Runners-Up.
Tournament Highlights: Best Player of the Tournament: Sooraj Kumar Gupta (Deo Juvante FC). Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Shadab Khan (Incomplete FC). Highest Goal Scorer: Afridi (JFF FC) – 5 goals
Participants and spectators alike lauded the initiative for its vibrant atmosphere and the high level of competition, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for futsal within the community.
