Jamshedpur, Aug. 17: Young Indians (Yi) Jharkhand Chapter, under their Nation Building vertical, has adopted the initiative of spreading oral health awareness through Dental Camps in schools, villages and industries.
A team of dentists from Dental Hub in Jamshedpur, Yi�s initiative partner, are voluntarily spending 4 hours every week to carry out the camps at various institutions.
Under this year long initiative, Yi Jharkhand team has already impacted more than 4000 citizens in and around Jamshedpur, in a short span of 4 months.
Yi has conducted 13 camps at different industrial units for educating the factory workers and their families and 2 camps at rural schools around Jamshedpur.
On 17th August, Yi conducted the dental camp at Prem Jyoti Prangan School located in JRD Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
Prem Jyoti Prangan is a school with the objective of spreading the light of education amongst young children from economically challenged families in Jamshedpur.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Ruchi Narendran and Shubhra Mukherjee, active patrons and managing committee members of the school.
The Yi team, represented by Dr. Deepak Kedia, Krishna Kharia, Dibyanshu Sinha, Navin Gutgutia, Ritu Goyal and others, created awareness on good oral hygiene habits in each class and distributed informative pamphlets to the students.
More than 500 students got a personal dental check-up with the dentist team from Dental Hub led by Dr. Sebastian, Sharda Kedia, Neha Sharma and all students received an oral health kit from Yi, to motivate them to maintain good oral hygiene.
