Chakulia, August 30: On the third day of the Dengue Prevention Drive, a joint team of the Community Health Center and Municipal Council, in the course of its campaign, imposed fines on various soap factories and rice mills in Chakulia. During the inspection, larvae were found in several soap factories and rice mills. The team targeted locations where the possibility of finding dengue larvae in large quantities was high.
The establishments that were fined included Kamla Soap Factory (Rs 500), Maruti Soap Factory (Rs 500), Ma Jagdamba Udyog (Rs 1,000), Hemant Soap Factory (Rs 1,500) and Har Gauri Soap Factory in Purnapani (Rs 1,500).
The joint team used anti-larvae spray at infested water spots. A stern warning was issued to citizens of heavy penalties of disobeying dengue prevention norms.
This Dengue Prevention Campaign will continue. The team urged citizens not to allow water accumulation in or around their homes. Assistant Engineer Pradeep Urawa, Lakhindra Nath Mahali, Gloria Bhengra, ASI Pitambar Mandal, LT Prabir Behra, MI Vikas Kumar Giri, RN Mahato, Kallol Giri, Ram Krishna Pani along with other sanitary workers comprised the joint team.
