Jamshedpur: District Congress committee members organized a demonstration before the office of District Education Officer, East Singhbhum, on Monday to protest against fee hike in several private schools. They handed over a memorandum to the DEO seeking action against the private schools allegedly acting in a whimsical manner.
Leading the agitation, Anand Bihari Dubey said various issues related to the welfare of students had been raised in the memorandum. If the education department fails to take timely action on the demands within a month, an indefinite stir would be launched by the Congress committee, said Dubey.
The agitators included Ajay Ojha, Shailendra Singh, Atul Gupta, Sushil Ghosh, Sheru Khan, Satish Kumar, Rajesh Kumar and Sunny Singh.
