Jamshedpur, Oct 15: The recent demolition of the welcome gate at Hill View Colony, constructed in 2016 using MLA funds, has ignited a political uproar. Ricky Keshari, personal secretary to Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy, has raised concerns over the gate’s destruction and suggested that Jamshedpur West MLA and State Health Minister Banna Gupta may be implicated in the incident.
In a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of East Singhbhum, Keshari described the demolition as ‘highly objectionable’ and a misuse of government funds. He noted that Mango Municipal Corporation officials denied issuing any orders for the gate’s removal, raising questions about who authorized the demolition.

Keshari alleged that the act was part of a conspiracy, suggesting that the municipal corporation is operating under the influence of Minister Banna Gupta. He highlighted the timing of the demolition, coinciding with the announcement of assembly elections and the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct in Jharkhand.
Keshari has called for the immediate re-installation of the gate and urged the DC to identify those responsible for the demolition, demanding strict action to prevent future occurrences of such actions.
