Demand for video recording of senate elections

Jamshedpur: Manoj Kishor, a candidate contesting the Kolhan University senate elections, has written to the university election officer-cum-registrar to express concern over chances of bogus voting. In the letter, Kishor alleged that certain candidates may use their influence to ensure one-sided victory in the elections. Such people may also get votes of absent employees cast in their favour, he said.
Kishor demanded that the election should be video-recorded at every stage to ensure transparency.
