Gamharia, Jan 2: Congress district vice president Phulkant Jha has demanded the introduction of a superfast train from Tatanagar to Jainagar and Katihar. Jha said that the demand for this train’s service was being made since years but the railway ministry had not paid heed to this demand of regular commuters who have to encounter severe difficulties to reach such destinations.
The district Congress vice president stated that the superfast train when introduced on this route could be run in the morning so that passengers could reach their destinations within 10 hours. Jha stated that even parliamentarian Bidyut Baran Mahto had tasken up the issue with the Railway Minister but the ministry had remained mum over the matter.
Phulkant Jha said that a letter to the effect written by Mithila Vikas Manch and addressed to the Railway Minister would be handed to the Singhbhum parliamentarian Geeta Koda for onward submission. He said that travelers to Mithilanchal were an inconvenienced lot especially due to COVID as they could not go to their native places.
